Navigating the policy landscape for shared micromobility

The North American Bikeshare and Scootershare Association (NABSA) advocates for policy change that supports and promotes the growth of shared micromobility. Stuckless Consulting Inc. supports NABSA with Canadian policy and outreach and we recently participated in a member update call on the status of shared micromobility policies.

The major update for shared micromobility at the federal level is that the details of the Permanent Public Transit Fund were recently announced and includes targeted funding for active transportation. Additional details are not yet available, but NABSA has been advocating for the inclusion of “rolling stock” (e.g., bikes) in federal active transportation funding ever since it was excluded from the National Active Transportation Fund.
