Jamie’s Maternity Leave & Interim Consultant Announcement

Big changes are coming for both myself and Stuckless Consulting Inc. as my husband and I anticipate welcoming our first child at the end of spring 2022. As we plan for this exciting new arrival, I have also been planning what this means for my work at Stuckless Consulting Inc.

I am pleased to share that Nancy Smith Lea will be taking over as a Senior Consultant (Interim) and continuing the work of Stuckless Consulting Inc. while I am on maternity leave. As many of you know, Nancy has been leading impactful work in the non-profit and mobility sector for over 30 years. I am thrilled that she will be bringing her project management skills, strategic approach, and research expertise to my new and ongoing projects.

My last day of work with be May 20, 2022, and I am planning to be on leave until January 2023. During this time, please continue to reach out to Stuckless Consulting Inc. as you normally would about projects, RFPs, and other opportunities. Nancy will be available to support ongoing contracts, as well as help to identify and onboard new and exciting opportunities.

As a small business, Stuckless Consulting Inc. runs because of our amazing clients and partners. I have been thoroughly enjoying the independent consulting work that I have been doing over the past year and a half, and I am learning so much as Stuckless Consulting Inc. continues to grow. I am proud of the work I am doing to help co-create sustainable, inclusive, and healthy communities, and I remain committed to this work, and to Stuckless Consulting Inc.

Amongst all of my excitement about becoming a mother, there is also a fair amount of worry about being self-employed and taking some much-needed time away after the birth of my child. I am so grateful to Nancy for keeping things moving at Stuckless Consulting Inc. during my leave, and I hope that I can continue to count on clients & partners to keep Stuckless Consulting Inc. in mind as a key partner on projects.

Nancy will officially be starting work with Stuckless Consulting Inc. at the beginning of May 2022. Please note that while providing part-time consulting support to Stuckless Consulting Inc., Nancy will continue to pursue other projects, including her role as a multi-modal theme co-lead on a national research partnership on mobility equity.
