Over the past several months, I have really enjoyed working with Green Communities Canada on the "Building a Collaborative Approach to Walking & Wheeling Skills Training in Schools" project.
The project officially wrapped up at the end of March, and our detailed lessons learned report is now available online. The report is based on outreach & engagement with organizations across Canada that are currently delivering skills training programs in schools, and it includes 12 lessons learned, 6 case studies, and 5 collective calls to action.
As part of this project, we also put together a resource hub to share vetted processes and tools to help communities launch their own programs without reinventing the wheel. The hub includes our lessons learned report, program expense mapping tools, transferable curriculum materials, planning tips, and more.
Together with Green Communities Canada, I will be hosting a webinar on May 11th @ 1pm Eastern to highlight some of the key lessons learned from this project, and to take participants on a virtual tour of the resource hub. I hope you will join us, and share this opportunity with your colleagues!
