Electric bicycles (e-bikes) are increasingly popular in Ontario, and along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail (GLWT). 

With the expected growth in e-bike use, and upcoming changes to provincial e-bike policy, I partnered with the GLWT to host a webinar for trail partners about managing e-bikes and trail safety.

The June 2021 webinar featured an overview of upcoming changes to Ontario's e-bike definitions from the Ministry of Transportation, insights on e-bike policy from staff at the City of Toronto, and a look at the benefits of welcoming e-bikes from cycling advocate Jim Boate.
