Rolling Forward with Cycling Skills Training in Ontario

I recently partnered with the Ontario Active School Travel program of Green Communities Canada (GCC) to host a webinar about cycling skills training programs in schools!

The webinar took place on Thursday, June 23rd @ 1pm (EDT), and it was recorded as a lasting resource.

Participants in this webinar heard from a panel of people who have implemented cycling skills training programs in schools across Ontario. Panelists touched on the lessons they have learned, and shared replicable curriculum and other program materials that can be used to help kick start cycling skills training efforts across the province.

Panelists included Jaime Akiyama with Peterborough GreenUP's Pedal Power program, Andrew Hibma with New Hope Community Bikes' Ride Smart program, Urban Planning Graduate Student and DIY bike mechanics instructor Sabat Ismail, and Kristin Schwartz with CultureLink Settlement Services.
